Hahaha.... Well I think you are right about the shoplifting announcement. I read a lot of the comments on that video, and that's what someone said. If you find yourself looking for something to do, you should read some. They're quite interesting!
I think they don't really do that anymore because the companies are afraid of getting sued for wrongly accusing -- even if that wasn't the intention.
Christmas Songs
Re: Christmas Songs
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
Re: Christmas Songs
I went back and read some. There are some very nice comments there. I saw there is a non-Christmas tape posted, too. I also downloaded that one.
Re: Christmas Songs
Oh, really? I'll look that one up, too!

It's after the big day, but I'll post another hauntingly beautiful Karen Carpenter one.

Dang it! I went to listen and download this and it's gone!Kitty wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2017 11:13 amI'm so super excited right now because guess what I just found?? Actual Kmart in-store Christmas music from 1974. I found it on youtube by accident. The first song is this cheesy song about how Kmart is so great. listen:

You know what's so great about this, aside from the sales and security announcements in between some songs, it seems that they are all instrumentals for the most part. Some "ahhh's" to accompany the music, but I haven't heard any real words sung in the songs. It would be so amazing to listen to this at a store and not have to hear the annoying screeching that goes for singing in some songs.

Still digging that Kmart tape. This time I downloaded it before the blue meanies can take it away again!
