Come Josephine In My Flying Machine (Up She Goes)
Although a happy song, it is still haunting. Here is an old version....

And this one is the same song sung very pleasantly by Sheet Music Singer on YouTube.

You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

I feel like I kind of go into a trance when I hear Simon and Garfunkel. The music is so beautiful and meaningful. Sound of Silence is perfect for my mood lately.

Yes, it does have a unique, meditative quality to it, doesn't it? ("Meditative" is not exactly the word I want, but I can't think of a synonym. Anyway, I know what you mean. :) )

I LOVE this song. It's got that beat that just won't quit.

I can't believe I forgot to talk about this the other day!
So Country Bears Jamboree is one of my very favorite attractions at Magic Kingdom, and they play this song that is so dark called "The Was Blood On the Saddle". It is one of my favorite parts of the show, so I was googling it the other day. Guess what? I was so surprised to find that this is a real song by a country guy named Tex Ritter, who... Get this... Was John Ritter's dad!!! I was so blown away! Cool!! Here's the dark song in full.

Yes, Tex Ritter was a big name in country & western music back in the day. That being said, I don't think I had ever actually heard one of his songs, so this was interesting to hear.

Whoooo will love a little Sparrow??? This Simon and Garfunkel song from their first album just gives me goosebumps. There was something seriously spiritual going on with their music. Doesn't it seem sort of progressive and out of this world?
