Rogue's Gallery

Post by Kitty »

This one stars Dick Powell as private eye Richard Rogue. It's good! It's a sort of stereotypical detective type radio show, often describing women sort of poetically and wolfishly, which is so strange for me to hear. Almost every episode he gets knocked out by getting hit on the head, and while out, talks to his alter ego, who has a scratchy voice.
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

Where are you listening to this?
I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show
a fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
and celluloid heroes never really die...

It is an invaluable resource. My only complaint about it is that it seems awfully hard and unintuitive to search. I often get lots of irrelevant results that I don't have the patience to comb through. And with that sort of a massive archive, the ability to search successfully is crucial. Probably my lack of technique rather than the IA's fault, I'll hasten to add, though.
