What does Santa mean by: "Oh, can't any of you climb after him? If he reaches the top, we're lost." Do you get some sort of magical immunity once you reach the top of the pole?

Related to that, I wonder why the north pole is always pictured as a pole with a round knob at the top and red stripes going round. :)

Enjoyed listening this year. Thanks for posting, and Merry Christmas! :D

Before that part is this exchange:

Santa Claus: He’s heading straight for the North Pole. Faster, Donder! Faster Blitzen! Faster! Ah, just as I thought! There he is, trying to climb up the North Pole. Come on, everybody. After him! We’ll have to catch him before he gets up the pole, or we’ll never get him.
Judy: Why, Santa?
Santa Claus: Why, the Misty folk live up there. They’d take him right in with them, and we’d never see Crazy Quilt or the silver star again. Whoa! Whoa, there! Whoa, Donder! Whoa, Blitzen! Whoa.

You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

Ah, man, how did that get past me? Well, when I was typing that question, I had a feeling that the answer was somewhere there staring me in the face. I guess that's why.

On the other question, someone on Reddit asked if there was really a candy-cane striped pole at the North Pole. :) Answer: Yes, it's right outside Santa's workshop. ;)

That's right! https://blog.silentphotoplay.com/2016/1 ... pisode-13/

I've also not been listening because it has been a hectic season so far. But I will listen to some before time is up!

#14 is probably my favorite episode, mainly because of Queen Melissa and the Grand Wonky.

AND—I found some really interesting additional info on Rosa Barcelo. :D (This is in addition to the Hollywood 360 article earlier linked in the episode post.
