Did anything like this short commercial for eye witness news play in your area? I remember both of these very well.

I think I vaguely remember these types of spots, but I don't think any in my area were that...can't think of the word...overtly entertainment like?

:lol: I guess they wanted the news to seem exciting. I remember these news anchors' faces. I was little at the time. Isn't it amazing how seeing something like that can bring back so many memories?

Yes, for some reason you do tend to remember news anchors very well.

Along back about that time, WFBC channel 4, the local NBC affiliate in our area, had some sort of packaged promotions going like that. They even changed the station call letters to WYFF for "We're Your Friend Four." Kind of corny, I thought, but...they didn't ask my opinion. :)
