Re: Vintage Photos at Random

New York circa 1915, Police tuba players
(The sousaphone on the far left most likely being the type coveted by Penrod in Penrod and Sam :) )

And: if you would like a jigsaw puzzle of the above, one may be purchased here. :D And: It's 20% off. ;)

Yikes!

(That's my word. Ok, it's an interjection, but I'm letting it stand. 8-) )

(Naples Yellow, an artist's paint, and my favorite shade of yellow.)

And you didn't answer my question about Velveeta.

Re: Book Reading

Replies: Why did he keep reading it?! Because the teacher forced him to, against his will. And doesn't he know his sister well enough that it might be something sappy and girlie?? 😆 You'd think he'd at least have glanced to see what was in it. But Penrod never thinks ahead to any extent. He in...

Re: Book Reading

I've finished Penrod and Sam . I really enjoyed this. :D A couple of thoughts: My favorite part was when Penrod stole Margaret’s letter and had to read it in class. I laughed so hard I couldn’t get my breath. The most disheartening part was when Herman’s pants got lost in the bottom of the cistern. ...

Re: Dark Shadows

480 Wow, Julia really lost it when she discovered the body. Shouldn't she have: 1. Checked out Jeff's story before hypnotizing him? and 2. Waited until away from Dr. Lang's house before attempting to phone the police?? 481 I could not identify who was doing the voiceover at the beginning—it must hav...

Re: Dark Shadows

re 479 That doctor is the worst. 😆 He doesn't even know his lines, so much so that he's delivering them so flat while he's reading the prompter. This is not Jonathan Frid's best acting either. They're both reading the Teleprompter pretty heavily. :) Poor Jeff. How many times has he been tranquilized...
