Strangely, that cigarette doesn't look like it was in the original picture. Yes, if you zoom in, it looks like it was photoshopped in with not-quite-right placement. :) Pola Negri, maybe? Do you remember the nationality? No, not Pola, though that's a good guess. I think it's a somewhat lesser-known...

I downloaded this awhile back with an idea of posting it. Unfortunately, now that I'm getting around to posting it, I can't remember who it is. :lol: It's a retired silent actress, though, I'm pretty sure. Google image and file name searches turned up nothing, oddly. Oh, well, it's an interesting ph...

Behind them appears to be a strangely low table with a rose and the base of a vase or lamp. and beside him is an ashtray. I guess he wanted a cigarette with his demitasse on the floor.
