Re: Max Fleischer

This is another Cab Calloway song, in another Betty Boop cartoon, but this time Koko the Clown is drawn to dance and sing to it. This is the best version of this song ever made. I challenge you to convince me otherwise! St. James Infirmary Blues. I'm going to just post the song, since that's the bes...

Classic Stop Motion

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with stop motion. This short animation is from 1951, and was also on my old VHS that Grandpa got us. The wonders of YouTube let me share this with you today. It's a neat Rapunzel retelling in all its stop motion glory. https://youtu.be/-jw5is6PEh0

Random Animated Shorts

I thought it would be nice to share animation that we like, without being confined to old things per se. I'm going to start with a 2006 classic (in my mind at least!).

I've thought of that song as being from the late '20's, but that recording sounds a lot earlier.
When I looked it up before I posted, a saw that it was published in '21 and this version popularized it in '23.

 I'll bet the kids get a kick out of that. No telling how much it cost to assemble that.
It was hilarious. I was surprised at some of the things they were singing about. I was also surprised at how hard I was laughing. In short, I heart Country Bears Jamboree!

Country Bears Jamboree

A few years ago I went to Disney world, and one of my favorite parts, to my surprise, was the animatronic show Country Bears Jamboree. I only got to see the shortened version, as they cut 5 minutes in 2012, but it's so neat to see this full version that they opened with in 1971. Watching this video ...

Re: Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Interesting cartoon!! Could just be me, but the dog especially at the end sounds like Fe Fo the Giant!
