Re: Norm Macdonald at 61

Oh that is sad. He was a funny man. I liked his humor quite a bit. He was especially excellent on SNL in the Jeopardy skits playing Burt Reynolds.

Re: Roadhouse (1948)

Alls well that ends well, except for Jefty !! And seriously what kind of a name is that for a grown man. When the movie first started and he came in with Ida, I was like "Really? She's going with him? and then quickly realized that's not exactly what the story was. The two of them don't seem to mat...

Re: Who's on the banner?

I recognized Rin Tin Tin and have heard of Rex the Wonder Horse, another great horse actor was Tony the Wonder Horse of Tom Mix. The first such horse to be called a Wonder Horse. Hollywood’s first ‘Wonder Horse’, Tony became the most popular horse in the world, receiving thousands of fan letters fro...

Re: Roadhouse (1948)

I'm so elated you loved it. Now I'll have to order it again from the library, I can't remember as many details as you provide. I know something else that always is so memorable to me is Jefty's house decor. It lends to the general creepiness of Jefty, being a mama's boy. Ida's singing.. don't think ...

Re: Charlie Watts

I'm still a huge fan of The Rolling Stones, Watts was a good good drummer. While 80 doesn't seem that old to me anymore, it is still a good run and he was active right up until the end I believe.

Re: Ed Asner

Oh Mr. Grant, I watch The Mary Tyler Moore show almost every day, and he was just the best on that show.

What a nice long life Ed Asner had. Good for him.

Re: Dusty Hill at 72

It really is sad, he was only 72, hardly old at all.

It's hard to believe that band has been around and playing non stop for 50 years. What a long time.

Re: Who's on the banner?

Lovely banner again. Marie Prevost looks so modern to me. And Louise Brooks is timeless. Gloria Swanson doesn't look like herself, she is much happier than we usually see her.
