Re: Ricky and Debbie in Sardineland

Stuff like this really reminds me how much simpler life used to be. I mean come on, what could be more fantastic than taking a vacation in Sardine Land. :) Sardines were really popular in the 50s, I remember my dad eating those stinky little things lot. Even sardine sandwiches. :? Som...

Re: Star Trek - The Original Series

I loved the original Star Trek. I was in high school when they were first run. Now they look so cheesy and all the hot babes in skimpy outfits speak volumes about the times. I had to go look at an episode list, I didn't remember there were so many, 79 episodes, and I pretty much loved them all. I ca...

Re: Happy Birthday Mrs. Danvers!

Thank you Kitty and Donnie. I'm still doing the same thing(s) I was doing or not doing. Riding my bike, walking the dog, taking care of my 91 year old mom. And gardening. We haven't taken a camping trip in awhile, I don't like to get too far from mom. And then all the aggravating crap life throws at...

Re: Happy Birthday Mrs. Danvers!

Thank you guys very much. I am sorry I am such an absent forum member. But I rarely spend much time on my computer anymore, but I thought I'd check in and see you guys.

I'm biking as much as possible and walking, working in the yard and taking care of my 90 year old mom.

Oh yes I loved Bill Cullen too. I remember him from To Tell The Truth and I've Got A Secret the most.

Re: Hobbies (besides movies)

That's a fun idea Kitty. I too find it absolutely astounding how little most all of us know about our past, most of us can't even get past our grandparents and great grandparents. I don't know if it's because we are a nation of immigrants or what. But in my case and my husband as well, we have had "...

Re: Silent Ladies & Gents - Similar Alternatives?

Thank you for your kind recommendation. As my intention is always disclosing unknown silent films and players, it may not always be the most popular site ever. But the pleasure to disclose the work of those forgotten so long ago is really something priceless. I love your website, I never tire of se...

Re: I Married Joan

Hello Miwi, I love that show, I vividly remember watching it as a kid, it must have been in reruns, the show ran from 1952-1955, I was born in 1952, but I remember watching the show and still remember the theme song. (even though now i can't even remember where i put my car keys) Jim Backus was a hu...

Re: Hobbies (besides movies)

Music and movies, doesn't get better than that. I still look at my old movie star books alot, I never tire of looking at those fabulous faces. As Normand Desmond exclaimed..."We had faces then!" Donnie life is short buy a tenor recorder. And bad as the "gentlemen pirates" of Queen Elizabeth were, I ...

Hobbies (besides movies)

I've been doing genealogy on my family and my husbands for a few years now, but it really took off when I retired and had hours to spend if i wanted to, tracking stuff down. The best site, hands down, for absolutely free information, is Family Search Church of the Later Day Saints, no kidding. They ...
