Re: Book Reading

Fair enough but ya gotta admit, the dialogue is pretty lulz-worthy. I was often shaking my head laughing at the absurdity of it all. Ripping this book apart brought some much needed catharsis; I could've went on but the review was getting long enough. And judging from the penciled corrections found ...

Re: Book Reading

Having just plowed through it in a several hour sitting, these are my thoughts on The "It" Girl: The Incredible Story of Clara Bow , a... "biography"... by Joe Morella and Edward Z. Epstein published in 1976. I've had a morbid fascination with it for some years now, and have finally had the opportun...

I wouldn't be surprised if it was! Btw, I took a screenshot of the Motion Picture Classic magazine that's featured in the film, and I haven't been able to find the exact issue.
Found it! The issue is from September 1918:

Re: Sheet Music Covers

Wow. How did I miss that collection?

Here's a wistful song called Back To That Old Silver Screen from 1929, dedicated to Rudolph Valentino, Barbara La Marr, Wallace Reid, Larry Semon, and Theodore Roberts - all stars who had passed away by then.

A pdf is available online for another song from the movie, I've Found My Man, and glancing at that one, it includes the ukulele chords, so I guess this one does, also. :)

Re: Favorite photos of silent stars

I downloaded this awhile back with an idea of posting it. Unfortunately, now that I'm getting around to posting it, I can't remember who it is. It's a retired silent actress, though, I'm pretty sure. Google image and file name searches turned up nothing, oddly. Oh, well, it's an interesting p...
