Re: I've Got A Secret

I also found it interesting how much Jayne Meadows sounds and looks like her sister Audrey (of The Honeymooners). These old I've Got a Secret shows are good—I've not actually watched a lot of them yet. At one time I went on a What's My Line? binge and watched about everything that was available on Y...

Re: I've Got A Secret

That was an interesting one. I enjoyed seeing George Gobel—I've always liked him. I wonder if the U.S. forces still have that enemy country deal—I kind of doubt it, probably military intelligence and strategy is too complex and sophisticated for that anymore. The telephone thing was kind of weird. I...

Re: Quote of the Day

I don't know where I ran across this one or who said it.

"Today is unique! It has never occurred before and it will never be repeated. At midnight it will end, quickly, suddenly, totally. Forever. But the hours between now and then are opportunities with eternal possibilities."

I probably wouldn't know about Uffizi, either, except I used to have a strong interest in fine art—well, still do, though I don't look at paintings as much. But Uffizi is ...

Re: Antique Books

That does sound so beautiful, doesn't it? How I'd like to be there... My wife was in Florence a couple of years ago and she thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe it was her favorite part of the trip she was on. But she did not go to the Uffizi. I criticized her severely for that!

Wow. You certainly get your money's worth with that one. Some wonderful, if mystical, imagery.

I wonder who actually answered the phone? Surely not Mrs. Cuneo.
