Re: Literature That Glorifies the Photoplay

Maybe it's slang for "sides". It's very strange!

Re: Literature That Glorifies the Photoplay

Here's a really cool thing from Motion Picture Story Magazine, February 1913! 8-) These were my very favorite exercises in my spelling book in grade school. And here's one for silent film! See how many you can do! It's a bit challenging.

Re: Speed Gibson of the International Secret Police

It's kind of cool--look at the production dates. They started in January! I listened to the first four or five, and I got very tired and had to take a nap. Not a testament to the show, I was just sleepy! I may re-listen to the first five when I pick it up again.

Peg Ryan reminds me of someone else—another actress—but I can’t think who it is. I can picture her so clearly—irritates me that I can’t identify her.
Do you mean Lynch? The lady who runs the club looks very familiar, too, but I don't know who she is.

Re: Ethel and Albert

I'm glad you enjoyed it! There sone other full episode on YouTube as far as I could glance. It's a Christmas episode. Peg Lynch wrote and starred in her own content -- one of if not the first woman to do so. Many episodes exist, but they have not been released to the viewing public as of yet. Additi...

Speed Gibson of the International Secret Police

This is the next one we will listen to! It seems exciting. I'm halfway through the second episode. You can hear and download the episode here. It ran for 178 episodes, from 1937-1940. I think this will be a very good one.

Ethel and Albert

Have you heard of this show? Someone posted this on the old time radio lovers Facebook page. There are apparently over 700 episodes in the radio series. The commercials are still in this, too! 😍 It's a little silly, but by the end of the episode you kind of want to watch another!! Ethel and Albert e...
